Teen Poverty is a big issue all around the globe. 16% of all kids nationwide were living in poverty in 2020. Due to this many children not having access to food, they may be malnourished, have health complications, and have hindered emotional and physical development. Teens who have lived in poverty experience physical signs of stress at higher levels than those in more economically secure families.

One in seven kids live in poverty. This may not seem like a lot, but together this is around 10 million kids that were living in poverty. This means that about 10 mil­lion kids were liv­ing in house­holds that did not have enough resources for basic needs such as food, hous­ing and utilities.
